Rufeda Ali spent years as a Pharmacy Technician at CVS Pharmacy and Cardinal Health and as a Medical Assistant at USMD, watching uninsured patients do the math at the counter and walk away without their medication. Patients with diabetes leaving without insulin. Parents without medication for their children. People in chronic pain who had been avoiding care for years, unaware that a free clinic or federally qualified health center was two miles away, ready to help at no cost.
The resources were there. The patients were there. The tool to connect them was not.
After years in clinical care and Product Management at Bayer and Providence Health, and in enterprise technology at Amazon, Rufeda built CareMap, the tool that should have existed all along.
Rufeda Ali is the Founder and CEO of CareMap Health. She is a Product Manager with experience at Bayer and Providence Health, a former Pharmacy Technician at CVS Pharmacy and Cardinal Health, and a former Medical Assistant at USMD. She currently works in enterprise technology at Amazon. CareMap is built on a decade of watching the healthcare navigation gap up close.
